So, I’ve been really busy these past two weeks, family stuff, Easter, new dog, NCAA tournament, Camp Nanowrimo, you know life stuff. As a result I haven’t written on here in over two weeks. OOPS! Anyway my plan was to continue my sports band stories through the NCAA basketball tournament and wrap them up around the time of the national championship. Obviously this didn’t happen.
So if you didn’t read the first story I’m going to encourage you to do so because this synopsis won’t have any of the humor that the post does, but here we go: We left off with a bunch of California kids in the midwest trying to get ahold of a movie that was 8 years old at that point. We were there for the NCAA basketball tournament and our team had just defeated the powerhouse that is Middle Tennessee in Dayton, OH.
I’ve mentioned Sports Band before but this is a story is not part of the Saga that that one became, it actually happened a few weeks before the other one started. Our basketball conference has it’s end of the year tournament in Vegas every year. In fact the tournament starts tonight which is why I felt the need to post this today.
This is us that year.
I’m currently a nanny for a very bright and very entertaining one year old girl named Stephanie. I’ve been her nanny since August and so have got to see her grow from a baby who couldn’t roll over to a toddler who now runs around and is developing a basic vocabulary.
During my four years in college I had was sort of in my school’s Sports Band. The whole story of how I got involved is long and one I fully intend to tell but not right now. Right now I’m going to tell you the story of the one thing that we, the members of the Sports Band, had in common. No, It isn’t a love of sports or a love of music, that wouldn’t be interesting would it?
