The Funny Thing About Walmart

When I was working and living on the East Coast the two girls I worked with, Aria and Paige, and I spent a lot of time together outside work, mostly because two of us were new to the area and didn’t really know anyone else.  Anyway we decided one night that we were hungry and were going to go get food.  However we were kind of in the middle of nowhere and the only place open was Walmart.

We’d had our hearts set on pizza but finding that the pizza place was closed we decided to get the frozen kind that you can heat up. Through various shenanigans and escalating silliness I ended up riding in the cart with the pizzas while we perused the aisles looking for anything else we might need.

We were heading up to the checkout stand and Paige saw some fizzy waters stacked in a display. She saw the flavor she wanted and took it.  I was like taking the wrong brick in Jenga.  The whole top layer of the display started collapsing and the waters started rolling everywhere.  Some of them exploded and sprayed Paige and a few not so quick innocent bystanders.

The guy who was working there was very nice about it.  We offered to help him pick up but he insisted we go, we didn’t even have to pay for the bottles that broke.  Here is a very blurry picture of the incident.

As you can see this was a disaster.

The bottles weren’t even done falling when this was taken. I’m going to guess that it was between 100 and 150 bottles that fell and rolled away or blew up.
